From little things, big things grow.
Inspired by nature, Joice Cheung (b. 1993) loves to observe the little things in life. Even if it is little, after accumulation, it will gradually converge into a huge power that can turn the whole situation around. This, is the power of a seed moving bunches of soil. This, is the power of life.
Her works exude tenacious vitality, the inner drive for continual transformation of life.
"Soulcasting" is a journey into the depths of human consciousness and beyond. It is an exploration of the unseen forces that shape our existence, the whispers of our innermost thoughts, and the echoes of our dreams and fears. Each piece I create is a vessel, a conduit through which the soul's energy flows and takes shape. The process is both meditative and transformative, requiring a deep connection with the subject and an openness to the mysteries of the universe.
My work is characterized by a fusion of abstract forms and daring colors, each chosen to evoke a specific emotional response and to represent the myriad facets of the human soul. The textures and layers in my pieces are deliberate, symbolizing the complexity and depth of our inner lives. Through the interplay of light and shadow, I seek to reveal the duality of existence—the balance between light and dark, joy and sorrow, life and death.
